These examples highlight the need for continued parent–teacher cooperation. There are many tools that can be used to help learning disabled children improve in, or compensate for, their areas of weakness. It is often advantageous to the child when the parents, classroom teacher, and special educators coordinate efforts so that the child receives one consistent intervention approach and does not feel overwhelmed or confused by conflicting approaches to, or excessive emphasis on, deficits.
