These influences continue to exist alongside widespread and possibly growing doubt and scepticism among lay people in different cultural segments. To this extent the notion of postmodernity points to important elements of change in late modern cultures, but it finally fails to encompass the range of organizational and experiential elements that go to make up contemporary experience.
The nomadism of postmodernism can be derived variously from the work of Foucault, Lyotard, Deleuze and Guattari, Cixous and others.
